Field Revisions

The field revision process applies when changes occur in the field after a permit has been issued for a project.
Revision Process
After permit issuance, any changes to a plan must be presented to the field inspector. The field inspector may approve the changes in the field or require that they go through plan review, particularly when multiple trades are affected by the change.

If changes cannot be approved in the field, the inspector will record why the change is being sent back for plan review, after which the applicant will submit the revised plan for review as an Amend Request.

Approvals or Permits Issued
  • Approval of a revised plan by the field inspector or plan reviewer. No permits are issued; however, the issued permit may require updating if the permitted scope of work changes
